News and Events

Thank you for your support and adapting to the changes implemented due to the three-day lockdown in the Greater Brisbane region.

As per the Premier’s announcement this morning the lockdown will end at 6pm tonight and restrictions will ease, however, some precautions will remain until 1am Friday 22nd January. All children may attend as per bookings made through My Family Lounge.

The following procedures will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety at our service until the easing of restrictions on Friday 22nd January unless updated by the Government;

  • We will continue our enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices during this period

  • Staff will carry face masks at all times

  • Staff will continue wearing face masks in indoor spaces where we cannot socially distance

  • Parents and carers are asked to wear masks when dropping off and collecting your children

  • We will continue to not accept children and/or families who are sick or have flu-like symptoms

We are reviewing our upcoming excursions with regards to the updated restrictions and will be in contact with families regarding the plans for these days. Please note the excursion for Tuesday 12th January is cancelled as per our previous communication with those families.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

As I’m sure you are aware, this morning the Premier announced a three-day lockdown for the greater Brisbane area from 6pm Friday 8th January to 6pm Monday 11th January 2021. Queensland Health advises anyone living in the local government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan to stay at home except for essential purposes and to wear a mask everywhere when outside the home.

In alignment with this advice we will remain open on Monday 11th January to children of essential workers only. If you are able to stay home and keep your children with you, please do so.
Please assist us to organise staffing arrangements by marking your child absent through the My Family Lounge mobile app. Your booking for Monday 11th of January will be removed and no charge will be issued to your account for the day if this is done before the end of the day Saturday 9th January 2021.
Service cancellation periods still apply for the remainder of the week unless lockdown requirements change.

On Monday we will have the following additional procedures to ensure everyone’s safety at our service;

  • Only one parent/guardian is permitted on to the grounds and must be wearing a mask

  • We ask that you use hand sanitiser before and after touching our iPad screens to sign your child in/out

  • All staff will be wearing masks (Queensland Health advises employees may temporarily remove masks for eating, drinking and for necessary communication with children) – children under 12 years of age do not need to wear masks

  • We will continue to only allow one parent/guardian in to the office at a time and no parents/guardians will be allowed access to our indoor spaces. 1.5 metre social distancing will be adhered to where possible

  • We will continue to not accept children and/or families who are sick or have flu-like symptoms

  • We will continue our enhanced cleaning regimens

We will keep families updated as we receive more information from Queensland Health and the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) as we strive to support our community through these times.

As always if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope you all stay safe and healthy.

As we had predicted, 2021 has bought a large influx of new enrolments and bookings for our OSHC service. As a reminder, we are only licensed to care for 170 children for After School Care and we are very quickly approaching this number.

At time of posting, we currently have vacancies on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday is currently fully booked with a waitlist in place.

If you are looking to use our Service in 2021, permanently or casually, please submit your enrolment or re enrolment requests as soon as possible. You will be notified if you are placed on the waitlist and will be contacted if a place becomes available.

New enrolments: All required documents, including child immunisation history, and birth certificate, must be submitted for the enrolment to be formalised.

Any questions, please contact the OSHC Management Team via email (
