Monday 11th January

Updated: Mar 23, 2021

As I’m sure you are aware, this morning the Premier announced a three-day lockdown for the greater Brisbane area from 6pm Friday 8th January to 6pm Monday 11th January 2021. Queensland Health advises anyone living in the local government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan to stay at home except for essential purposes and to wear a mask everywhere when outside the home.

In alignment with this advice we will remain open on Monday 11th January to children of essential workers only. If you are able to stay home and keep your children with you, please do so.
Please assist us to organise staffing arrangements by marking your child absent through the My Family Lounge mobile app. Your booking for Monday 11th of January will be removed and no charge will be issued to your account for the day if this is done before the end of the day Saturday 9th January 2021.
Service cancellation periods still apply for the remainder of the week unless lockdown requirements change.

On Monday we will have the following additional procedures to ensure everyone’s safety at our service;

  • Only one parent/guardian is permitted on to the grounds and must be wearing a mask

  • We ask that you use hand sanitiser before and after touching our iPad screens to sign your child in/out

  • All staff will be wearing masks (Queensland Health advises employees may temporarily remove masks for eating, drinking and for necessary communication with children) – children under 12 years of age do not need to wear masks

  • We will continue to only allow one parent/guardian in to the office at a time and no parents/guardians will be allowed access to our indoor spaces. 1.5 metre social distancing will be adhered to where possible

  • We will continue to not accept children and/or families who are sick or have flu-like symptoms

  • We will continue our enhanced cleaning regimens

We will keep families updated as we receive more information from Queensland Health and the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) as we strive to support our community through these times.

As always if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope you all stay safe and healthy.
