Parents and Citizens Groups

Kelvin Grove State College has a long history of working to involve parents in the school experience. Parent Advisory Groups (PAGs) were set up for the purpose of giving parents a voice and opportunity to share ideas and also a chance to meet other parents. PAGs are attended by the respective Sub-School Principal and coordinated by a P&C Vice President who acts as Chair. 

All three PAGs meet on the 2nd Monday of the month, the week before the P&C meeting, so your feedback can be taken to the full P&C meeting. For more information, read on...

Junior School PAG

Meets at 7 pm, 2nd Monday of each month at the Junior School Library. All Junior School parents are welcome to attend this friendly and informal meeting that works to support the Junior School.

Middle School PAG

Meets at 7 pm, 2nd Monday of each month in the College Library Annexe. All year 6, 7, 8 and 9 parents are warmly invited to attend this friendly and informal discussion group to talk about any Middle School issues.

Senior School

Meets at 7 pm, 2nd Monday of each month in the College Library Annexe. All Senior School parents are warmly invited to attend this friendly and informal discussion group concerning any Senior School issues.

College Liaison Officer

  

Kelvin Grove State College is one of a few schools in Brisbane that employ a part time Liaison Officer. Helen Baxter acts as a contact point for parents and assists in College events where parents and the community may be involved. Helen assists the P&C by:

    • Responding to any queries regarding the College
    • Attending events such as Parent Teacher Interviews and Open Days
    • Matching requests from teachers and staff for parent help, a vital part of our College Community.
    • Attending P&C meetings
