About the P&C

The Kelvin Grove State College Parents & Citizens Association meets at 7pm on the third Monday of each month in the College Library. We would love to see you there!

KGSC P&C is a group that works collaboratively with the school in looking after our students in the best possible way. We continue to support the school administration wherever we can. The school Financial Plan, Operational Plan, Risk Management Strategy, Behavioural Plan are just some of the issues discussed and endorsed at P&C meeetings. New school facilities, road crossings and parking, are other issues regularly discussed at our forums.

This school has a wide variety of parents with expertise in the fields our P&C operates in and we welcome your contributions. With such a variety of subcommittees from music to child care to swimming to chaplaincy - there is sure to be something that interests you and gives you a chance to use your talents. Community Liaison Officer

The Liaison Officer can assist with your questions about the P&C and the interface between the school and the P&C. The Liaison Officer attends school Open Days and Parent Teacher interviews, and subcommittee meetings.

Parent Advisory Groups

Kelvin Grove State College has a long history of working to involve parents in the school experience. Parent Advisory Groups (PAGs) were set up for the purpose of giving parents a voice and opportunity to share ideas and also a chance to meet other parents. PAGs are attended by the respective Sub-School Principal and coordinated by a P&C Vice President who acts as Chair.

All three PAGs meet on the 2nd Monday of the month, the week before the P&C meeting, so your feedback can be taken to the full P&C meeting.
