Junior School Pickup Zone (Look Out Zone)

The Look Out Zone is a volunteer based program developed by the Transport and Main Roads and the Kelvin Grove State School to manage flow of traffic in a safe and orderly manner at the L’Estrange Terrace  designated Pickup Zone (2 minute loading zone).  The program facilitates the quick and safe pickup of children during congested peak school let out times.

Volunteering involves marshalling and assisting children to the first 3 bays of the pickup lay-by.  Volunteers only need to donate 25 minutes (2:55-3:20pm) once every 2 to 3 weeks on their chosen day of week.  There are two volunteers per day with the support of a teacher aide.  There is also flexibility in case of sick children, work commitments, etc.  For more info contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
